For You Now

Sometimes the snow returns in early spring
And all that green seems like a temporary thing
But the snow can’t quiet what the bluebird sings
Just like I can’t cover up the love I bring for you now…for you now

All this time it’s been hiding in the shadows
Changing shape as the sun and moon move across my window
Well this love I have just grew its wings
It’s a-rockin and a-rollin and its ready to sing for you now…for you now

And from time to time I know I tear you down
Like a miner in the mountains or a mole in the ground
But now I’m gonna build you up with a beautiful sound
As the band plays on and a tune comes around for you now…for you now

Well I’ve been sleeping off the storm of what my life got into
Yeah, I’m running through the mountains of what I’ve been through
Nothing like a snowmelt stream or a clear blue sky
Shaking all my feelings with the aspens as they cry for you now…for you now

And I’ve been traveling around a lot these days
Seen the mountains of the west and the east coast ocean waves
Yeah and nothings gonna stop the spring from breaking through
And with the warm wind I’m gonna migrate back for you…now…for you now

And from time to time I know I tear you down
Like a miner in the mountains or a mole in the ground
But now I’m gonna build you up with a beautiful sound
As the band plays on and a tune comes around for you now…for you now
