Pete McDonald: Music

Low Tides

(Pete McDonald)
Sitting in the evening sun, there's a feeling coming over me
I can feel it from the depths of my soul.
It rises in tides of the sea and swallows the indecision in me.
It floats on the summer breeze, bends the stiffness of the trees
then grabs my heart and flies away.

Time fades away, her memory with the day,
and I don't want to be in her way.
Time fades away, her memory with the day,
so I ride the low tides so far away.

Standing in the morning light the sun burtst through the fog
to light the earth and I raise my arms to the sky.
She sstands outside my circle's edge, a worn path beneath her feet.
She never dares to cross the line.
So close but so far away I breathe her eyes they speak to me
She never dares to cross the line.

Chorus

She wants everything
She wants the world
She wants everything but I know that she can't have it

A gypsy of the times with a vision in her mind
The place she calls her home is never known
An orphan of the times with no reason with no rhyme
She lives among the lost souls.

Chorus
